Privacy Policy

We believe in plain English. This explains exactly what we collect, why, and how it is used — no legalese.

Last updated: October 13, 2026

What we collect

DailyOnePost collects the absolute minimum needed to operate:

  • IP addresses — temporarily stored for rate-limiting the Refresh button. Cleared automatically after 5 minutes. Never linked to your identity.
  • Server access logs — standard logs (page URL, browser type, referrer, timestamp). Retained up to 30 days for security.
  • Contact form submissions — if you contact us, we store your name, email and message to respond to you.

We do not collect names, email addresses, location data or any personal information unless you voluntarily contact us.

Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage (not cookies) only to remember when you last clicked Refresh — so the button cooldown works correctly. This never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our servers.

The admin panel uses a session cookie to keep you logged in. It is deleted when you close the browser.

Advertising

DailyOnePost may display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out at Google Ads Settings.

RSS feed content

Headlines are fetched from publicly available RSS feeds. We store only the headline title, URL, source name and publication date. No full article text is stored. All original content belongs to the respective publishers.

How we use your information

  • To operate and improve the site
  • To prevent abuse of the Refresh feature
  • To respond to contact form messages
  • To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, share or trade your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention

Headlines are automatically deleted after 15 days. IP-based rate limit logs are cleared within minutes. Contact form data is retained only as long as needed to respond to your message.

Your rights

You have the right to request deletion of any personal data we hold. Since we collect almost no personal data, there is typically nothing to delete. For privacy-related requests, email info@dailyonepost.com.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if our practices change. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
